Crusader kings 2 empire

Maybe the territory you acquired gets divided among your children, maybe your brother rebels against you and if he wins half your country separates, whatever. AoE2 is a RTS, you have a map, you gather your wood and iron, make the archers and swordy dudes, send them to the enemy and destroy their base.ĬK2 is a historical medieval simulation, there is no battle screen, you are a noble with a county/duchy/kingdom/empire, and you decide what you want to do, there is no victory condition, what you do is plan how to build your dynasty, marrying yourself and your family to other nobles for their claims on territories or just because they have good stats (which increases the odds of your children having good stats/traits), those children will many years later be the nobles and rulers when you die (and then you play as your heir).

No they're not comparable at all, like there is nothing really to base a comparison on, might as well compare them to a baseball game.

So AOE2 is more casual and CK2 is more hardcore?
